Ontologi - Where Strategy Begins

How many things do you do?

You cannot have the luxury of simplicity unless you have focus.

Focus gives you a basis for whittling things down. It creates a suitable environment for using common sense.

If everything’s hectic, chaotic, and overwhelming…don’t expect common sense to play much of a role.

Without focus, it’s very difficult to make the things you do symphonic.

Symphonic? Symphonic? What in tarnation…

Ever heard a symphony warm up?

Everyone is playing. Everyone is getting what they need done, done. But it’s not music…yet.

The conductor picks up the baton and rhythmically taps the stand three times. When everyone is focused on the conductor, the musicians become a symphony.

Still, there’s the maelstrom of activity: flying bows, booming kettle drums, tapping feet, and trilling woodwinds. Yet now, all this action whirls around a common theme.

A symphony may only have 20 instruments doing 20 things—but they have tremendous impact when taken together.

Does your small business have 10 instruments doing 45 different things that have a mediocre impact taken together?

Focus. It’s symphonic.
